The AVI Consortium has been meeting regularly since 2005. This group of agencies, companies, cities, transportation groups, and intersted parties are all working toward the same goal:

Establish North Central Washington as a center for research and design, production prototype testing, training, demonstrations, maintenance and manufacturing activities for advanced vehicles and fuels utilizing plugin technology as a platform.
